There are some great stamp sets, bundles and suites in the new catalog! Take alook by clicking the picture above or the one in the sidebar. I am sorry to say that the 2021 July - December Mini Catalog has been delayed until August and will now be know as the August - December Mini Catalog. Covid 19 is the reason for some of product delays, hence the catalog delay.

2020-2021 Annual Catalog Sample Recipes PDF

SU Samples Recipes

The new Stampin’ Up catalog has some really great stamp sets this year. Stampin’ Up has produced a PDF of recipes for each of the projects pictured in the catalog. Here are a few pointers:

-         Each recipe has the catalog page number at the top left.

-         A list of stamps, papers, embellishments, inks, tools, kits.

-         Some instructions and techniques.

If you need the PDF to be larger, move your curser to the bottom right.  There are three (3) buttons. The top button is to make the PDF ‘Fit to Page’. The middle button is to ‘Zoom In’. The bottom button is to ‘Zoom Out’.

I personally like the fit to page best.

( If you cannot see your buttons or they disappear, just move your cursor towards the bottom right.)

If you use fit to page, you can also enlarge that to get a better view of photos. You may have to scroll to the right or left to view the whole photo.

*To view the Stampin' Up Recipes click the link below. You can also download the PDF to your computer or tablet. You can also print the PDF, but it is 227 pages.

First Halloween Card (not Stampin' Up)

I did not buy any new Halloween card making supplies this year. I know you all are shocked considering how much I love Halloween. I also didn't start making anything for Halloween until last week. I had a really good excuse. We spent 3 weeks with my youngest son's family helping out with getting the 5-year-old to and from school and helping care for the newborn. We loved every minute of it and miss them all dearly.
Most of you know that I have a friend that loves Halloween as much as I do and we give each other little gifts all month. This year she will be getting more cards than usual because I have to mail everything instead of putting them in her mailbox at school. Below is her first card. The only thing that is Stampin' Up is the envelope.

The Swirly Witch's Hat was cut with my Cricut.

And the sentiment below is from the things I got from Dr. Kolocovich (spelling?)

I am not thrilled about the little witch in the bottom left corner, but I do love the sentiment.

There will be another post soon!

Let It Ride

I was browsing Pinterest for ideas using the Let It Ride stamp set and came across the perfect card for my dad's birthday at http://www.slimmandstylish.com/2019/03/30/let-it-ride-silhouette-card

Helzie Slimm also has a video showing how she made her card:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FySMNg-lcH0&feature=youtu.be

I love the embossing and coloring inside those lines technique.

My card is only slightly different. My grassy area is slightly thicker, I used different colors, the sentiment is stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped on the inside and the envelope.

3 New Products I Really Like

First up, the Take your Pick Tool just got better! We now have a die brush add on. The Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip is on page 189 of the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog. Besides the die brush head, you also receive 2 foam pads.
This is so much better than the former die brush. You take out the putty end on the Take Your Pick tool and screw in the die brush. Works great and the brush doesn't fall off while in use!

Next there Small Grid Paper for the Stamaratus and Stamparatus Delux Foam Mat on pages 184 and 185. Deluxe Foam Mat is plastic laminate grid marked at 1/4" marks, rulers on the top and side, and the bottom is a foam pad.

I love coloring and HAD to purchase the new Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 on page 179.

(Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green,  Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Night of Navy.

I will be ordering from the Holiday Catalog some time this weekend.

I'm working on some cards using the Let It Ride stamp set. Dad's birthday is coming up next month and I also have other family members who love horses. So it's time to get busy!

A Couple of cards

The first card is not Stampin' Up.  I used my Cricut and a svg file from Dreaming Tree to make this card for a friend who loves flamingos. Well, actually, I made her one card and a set of 4 to give.

There are several birthdays coming up for some of my beer-loving friends, so I dug out the retired stamp set, Mixed Drinks.

I wish you were here to make cards with me. I sure miss my Sassy Girls Stamp Club!

Working on UFO's (UnFinished Objects)

I don't know about you but I have loads of Unfinished Projects! Some of you will remember the Merry Mice stamp set. Both Sassy Girls Stamp Clubs Made this card in October of 2016!

I found 6 kits with the image already stamped. I made the cards, stamped on some envelopes, and made a box. I'm thinking of giving it to my neighbor, Beth. She had been very helpful and friendly since we moved here.

Finally Finished Arranging My Craft Room

I am finally satisfied with the arrangement (for now😉) of my craft room. You may recognize most of the things in the room. I can't call it a cave anymore because I have lots of natural light. Sometime soon my husband will install a ceiling fan with a light kit.

my desk and some storage

Notice that comfy chair over bu the window. Great place to take a break.

This concludes the end of the tour!

MOVED to a Smaller Craft Room and a Bigger State!

Ugh! I never want to move again! 😄 We packed 3 U-Boxes of stuff with just a few pieces of furniture, clothes, personal items, kitchen stuff, BUT mostly craft things!
Thank you, Peg B., and Brian & Sue W.! I'm working to get it all organized so I can post photos.
Below is photos from a few days ago. Yikes!

There has been some improvement I hope to show you the completed room by next week.

Take Your Pick Tool by Stampin' Up!

I'll bet I looked through the Holiday catalog 10-11 times before I saw this new tool
You can find the NEW Take Your Pick toll pf page 30 of the 2018 Holiday catalog. I have a tool that is similar but Stampin' Up is more versatile. Watch the video below to get all the detail!
To order go to Stampinup.com, click Shop and place your order. Please don't forget to name me as your demonstrator.

Dress Cards

I'm obsessed with these cards right now.
